CITY RECYCLING - 2009
The city will collect materials at the old skating rink on the south side of the city across from Robert Neameyer Field. Please separate materials according to the following list:
ITEMS THAT SHOULD BE PLACED IN YOUR GARBAGE:
We will not accept the following items because we have to sort them and put them in the city garbage.
1. Plastic material including plastic bags 2.Tyvek Envelopes
3. Styrofoam 4. Milk Cartons 5. Waxed boxes 6. Boxes with grease or
paint or blood 7. Boxes with food residue (like pizza boxes) 8. Styrofoam or plastic dunnage 9. Glass 10. Egg crate material
ACCEPTABLE CARDBOARD
All cardboard except items 4,5,6 and 7 above.
Pop and beer and cereal and kleenex type boxes are acceptable
Kraft paper bags or kraft wrapping paper
NEWSPAPER- NEWSPRINT
Newspaper including the flyers that come with the newspaper except nothing wrapped in plastic.
(Rule of thumb-anything that comes in the Sunday paper is ok)
Newsprint- you can identify this because it is porous and looks like blank newspaper material.
Telephone & Paperback Books are OK but should be put in the “phone books” box.
Magazines
Magazines and similar type glossy paper
Annual Business reports with glossy paper
Office Paper
Office type white writing paper, (whole or shredded)
Cash register receipts, white or yellow
School notebook type paper
Computer paper including light green ruled
Junk Mail
General material received from the post office except plastic covers must be removed
Manila file folders
Post card stock
White envelopes with/with out windows and the contents of the envelopes.
Light or dark colored paper
Slick paper and brochures
Tin and Aluminum Cans
Wash food out of cans , labels need not be removed.

Old Skating Rink - Wednesday from 1 PM to 5:00 PM; Saturday from 9 AM to3:30 PM
Burn Site WE DO NOT ACCEPT ANYING THAT DOESN’T BURN
The burn site is located ½ mile south of Rolla on Hwy 30.
We accept grass clippings and garden waste but please remove the material from plastic bags.
We accept branches and trees and lumber without nails but ask that you cut this material to a maximum of 4 feet long.
